The “Star Wars Modern Toy Line Retrospective” continues. Each episode in this series features an extensive look back at all the modern Kenner and Hasbro Star Wars toy lines that have been released since 1995. I am joined in each episode by a different guest as we discuss the different assortments in each line, the collecting environment of the time, our personal toy hunting experiences, our favorite figures, and the legacy that each line has left on the collective whole of modern Star Wars toys. In part 6 of this retrospective series, I am joined by Jayson of Yakface.com to discuss the Star Wars Original Trilogy Collection toy line that ran from 2004-2005.

It's that time of the year! The weather is warmer. People are outside. Summer is in full swing. And San Diego Comic-Con has come around. Despite all the new Disney Star Wars content on the horizon, there was an unsettling level of the franchise's presence at the Con. Tom Chorlton joins me to discuss SDCC reveals from Hasbro and Hot Toys, as well as the outlook for Star Wars in the coming months.

Today, we celebrate our Independence Day! In 1996, ID4 took the world by storm. It was a perfect summer blockbuster that came out during a time when UFOs and aliens were all the rage in pop culture. It also had its own toy line, created by defunct toy company Trendmasters. Fellow 90s kid and toy lover Toy Shiz joins me as we discuss all things ID4 and break down its accompanying toy line.

take it with you

Iphone_trans Listening to podcasts on your mobile devices is extremely convenient -- and it's what makes the podcasting medium so powerful.

You can take your favorite shows and mixes with you anywhere, but to do so requires some quick and simple steps.

Let's walk you through that process together.
step 1:

Click the "Subscribe With iTunes" link in the page's sidebar:

Subscribe_with_itunes

This will require that you have the iTunes software on your computer.

(You can download iTunes here.)
step 2:
Itunes_ss

Now that you've subscribed to the podcast on iTunes, the feed will display in your "Podcasts" section on the left navigation bar.

Click there and you'll see the show displayed in the iTunes browser.

You can "get all" to download all available episodes or just individual episodes.
step 3:

Plug your mobile device (iPhone, iPad, iPod) into your computer with the Dock Connector cable, and click the device in iTunes's left navigation bar.

Itunes_ss2

Once you have your device highlighted, click "Podcasts" in the top navigation bar and sync the podcasts you want on your device. Click "apply" and the episodes you have downloaded on your iTunes software will sync with your device.
that's it!

The beauty of this process is that now, every new episode of your subscribed podcasts will automatically sync to your device every time you plug it in and open iTunes. You can now take your favorite shows with you everywhere you go.

Enjoy!
done!
